Another One Hits Taiwan: Typhoon Jangmi
September 30, 2008 Posted by Chris
A big Typhoon had been brewing in the west pacific since late September and it completely covered Taiwan in a matter of hours from September 28 to September 30th. I was right in the middle of it getting soaked anytime I went anywhere. The winds were really powerful, up to 50-60 km/h and it rained non-stop from late Saturday until Monday morning.
Unfortunately for this Typhoon I wasn't able to get many shots with my camera. I wish I could get a video of the clouds during a Typhoon. They fly across the sky faster than I've ever seen in my life. A cloud will cross the sky in literally 1 minute because the winds are so powerful pushing them along. It really reminds me of the last Typhoon:
Never fear, we were all safe indoors for most of the time and as our professors at school would say, "you guys were so lucky, you had all weekend to study!". I actually did get a lot of studying done since there was nothing else to do. Since going outside was reserved for masochists, we were automatically reduced to tv, movies, card games or homework. We got a mix of all those together through the weekend, along with some Taiwanese tea, that's good stuff I must say.

that typhoon actually came from here (Philippines) and a new one is fast approaching. so i suggest you guys get ready because you might have another typhoon in a week’s time
Haha, keep it, we don’t want it!
Thanks for the heads-up. These things are fun, but they really ruin weekend day-trips
!
hahaha! i don’t want to keep it but hopefully it won’t reach your way.
not only they ruin weekend trips, but also weekday jobs. i had to suffer going to work everyday soaking wet for more than a week. and another one is coming, it started raining this afternoon.
just by looking at the umbrella and the face of that man, i can tell that this typhoon really ruined ur weekend. haha good reason for studying.
